About Me

I grew up curious about the world, traveling and spending summers in Hong Kong.  I enjoyed my first career as a dental hygienist for 22 years, and value working with people carefully and gently to provide a good service.  The body offers many microsystems to work with to effect change and self-healing, so therapy is very individualized and practical.  I highly value natural health as it is and am honored to work in the rich field of acupuncture and natural bodywork.

I graduated from the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute in 2014.  My clinical internships were at UB Acupuncture Clinic, Montefiore Hospital New Rochelle, and School Sisters of Notre Dame in Wilton, CT.  I treated a diversity of people in each setting.  I opened Fair Skies in 2015, and enjoy working with people one on one in a quiet setting, providing respect and space for the natural processing and regulating of the body's internal systems.  My hope is to do as much as possible every session, within each person's comfort levels, to support a sense of transformation after each session.

I appreciate how individual agency, preventive medicine and lifestyle play a key role in our quality of life, whilst respecting each person's history and circumstances.  The body functions as a unified, intelligent organism.  Chinese Medicine offers an incredibly personalized approach to understanding and supporting the body.

On a personal note, I give special thanks to my parents.  My parents flew for TWA and shared a mutual admiration for world history and culture.  I grew up with respect for education, history, and the natural dignity, beauty, and complexity of human beings.  I aspire to continue to travel to China to learn more about Chinese arts, philosophy, cooking, medicine, and culture.  Thank you for your shared interest, curiosity, and respect for these natural and ancient ways!

My Philosophy

I believe in respect for nature, and the body's natural abilities to heal.  I believe I am a small but important part of a client's journey.  I believe in sensing and supporting people's highest selves, and in compassion and empathy.  I believe in the natural dignity of human beings, and of the cycles of life itself.

I am grateful to offer my services to those people willing to trust in their body's wisdom, and in the benefits of a supportive community.  I aim to continually improve my knowledge and skills. I learn a lot from each person, each session, and from working with my own body every day.

I enjoy appreciating each person, their body as is, sharing mutual goals for improvement, releasing what is not needed, and building on what is working.  Self-healing is a powerful and yet gentle, steady force.
